Build-up a goal and two starting cones (A+B, as well two orientation cones (I+II, as seen in the drawing. The players spread up equally next to each starting cone, each one having a ball.
Player A begins with a pass with direction to the orientation cone II. In the exact moment of his countermovement, player B starts a sprint to the cone II, in order to catch the ball before passing the cone. Player B circulates the orientation cone and tries a goal shot out of his movement. This is followed by the next player out of group B, passing a second ball to a second player and shooting it into the direction of the orientation cone I. The receiving player tries to catch the ball before passing the cone and then tries a goal shot. The starting group changes after each shot at goal!
- Take care that the shot at goal is trained with the correct and left foot.
- Also take care about the right body position of your players. The upper torso has to be above the ball, the supporting leg has to be 30
- 40 cm sidewise to the ball, foot is in the shooting direction; arms follow the body movements, the arm next to the kicking leg moves with this one, while the other arms goes back. The eyes should be pointed at the ball in the moment of the shot.
- This exercise may be trained with different goal shooting techniques (Decision of the trainer)
- To avoid time wasting or long waiting times, directly after the shot at goal the next pass will be played.
- The pass giving player has to have a very precise timing especially regarding the ball speed, in order to give the other player the chance to reach the ball before passing the cone. The same is important for the receiving player who has to coordinate his speed and start timing to reach the ball before passing the cone.
