1v1 Pressure

  • Organisation

    2 players go together in a 1v1.

One of them starts as defender, the other one starts as attacking player.

In a space between 10 meters, and maximum 2 meters wide.

  • Process

The defending player passes to the attacking, and the defender runs towards the attacking.

Now he needs to pressure the opposition to the sides by going in low depth, and cutting the field.

The attacking player is only supposed to change angles while running towards the defender's starting point.

    When reached, they switch roles.

  • Tip

Make sure this is a practice for cutting the field and putting pressure on the ball, not a practice for tackling a striker or dribbling the defender.
