Direct ending play in 8v8

  • Organisation

By playing 2-1-2-1-1 in a 8v8 match, we have many opportunities for outnumbering the opposition ( 331 ) with some direct runs from the wingers, striker and offensive midfielder.

  • Process

Offensive midfielder passes the ball to the striker, who returns the pass to the offensive midfielder.

The wingers now time their runs as the offensive midfielder passes to either one of them, and runs to the edge of the box, while the striker seeks the room behind their defence and too far away from the keeper.

The winger with the ball now passes to the most vacant position as the other winger seeks the far post for a potential bad pass.
