On the half-way line three goals made from cones are placed. Two teams are formed. An attacking team with seven players (yellow) and a defending team (blue) with four players, which start in a back four linear formation (the basis formation). The yellow team deploy themselves as shown in the diagram with a central point guard, two players in the midfield half-back positions, two wingers and two strikers. The yellow team has the ball. A goalkeeper is located in the goal.

Through further shifting of the ball the defensive line is forced to shift forwards to the side. As a result the attacking team obtains room in the deep areas, as well as the possibility to pass to the freed up side through a diagonal pass.
