A large box and a small box are formed with 8 cones. One player starts at each cone. The player at the start position has a ball. (1) Position change
The sequence is started with a pass to the first inner cone. This player passes with his first touch to the outer cone. This combination repeats itself continuously. The players change position, as shown, horizontally, irrespective of whether they are in the outside box or the inside box. Alternative: After a few minutes the players change positions from the inner to the outer box.
- 8 cones.
- This drill is very tiring.
- The standing leg is often too far away from the ball and/or the player leans back.
- Timing of the pass is important.
- Players often run faster than they pass.
- Demand good strength of pass and pass precision.
20 x 20m
The outer cones are 20m apart. The inner cones 10. The distance between the inner box and the next cone is 5m.
