8 cones are laid out as shown. The cone with two players is the starting position.
Player A starts by passing the ball through the cone goal. Player B turns with the ball and dribbles at speed to the next cone. B then plays a short pass to C. A takes up the position of B ad B goes between the cone goal. The same passing sequence then continues (C + D).
8 cones.
- The player waiting for the ball starts moving towards the ball as the ball is passed.
- The player passing the ball must orientate his running speed to the speed of the ball.
- The standing leg is often too far away from the ball and/or the player leans back.
- Timing of the pass is important.
- Players often run faster than they pass.
- Demand good strength of pass and pass precision.
- Good speed dribbling with short steps. The ball shouldn't be farther than 50cm away from the foot.
