  • Organisation

    The goalkeeper is in the goal, the goalkeeping coach 12-16 meters in front of him with the balls.
  • Process

    The coach throws/kicks balls in the corners. Either a series in one corner or switching each time between the left and right top corners. The goalkeeper tries to stop the balls by diving from the center of the goal (with an intermediate step if required). Finally he goes back to his starting position. Learning Aid: 1 Full size goal
  • Tip

    - The goalkeepers starting position is always the centre of the goal. - The goalkeeper commences his action as soon as the ball leaves the coaches’ hand /foot. - The dive takes place either with or without an intermediate step. Taking many steps constitutes too large of a loss of time. When diving the bodyweight is on the push-off leg. -The goalkeeper jumps with a step of momentum to the side. To the right he takes his momentum over the fight foot and pushes off to the side with the balls of his feet. To the left he takes his momentum over the left foot.
