Double pass and shot

  • Organisation

    Construction of a starting and a rebounding cone, in accordance with the diagram. A player goes on the rebounding cone, the rest to the starting cone with the balls. The goalkeeper goes in goal.
  • Process

    The starting player plays a double pass with the rebounder and dispatches his shot first time. Options: Shooting competition. Counting goals. The rebounder can react to the rebounds. Resources: 1 Full-size goal, 2 cones
  • Tip

    - The Goalkeeper always takes his position off the shooter. - Owing to the high variation of shots, the goalkeeper has to react differently to each different shot technique. - The goalkeeper’s aim is always to hold onto the ball. - The goalkeeper acts as soon as the ball has left the shooter’s foot. -The takeoff takes place either with or without an intermediate step. Taking many steps, makes for too large a waste of time. When taking off, the bodyweight is on the push-off leg. - The goalkeeper jumps with a step of momentum to the side. To the right, by taking momentum over his right foot, and laterally pushes off over the soccer ball. To the left by taking momentum over the left foot. - The pass to the rebounder should be played with the strong foot. - As soon as the starting player is in his starting position, the rebounder moves towards him, and comes closer to the ball. - The outfield players‘ aim is to learn the correct techniques for instep –laces shot - volley- turning and thereby to increase the speed and accuracy of the shots.
