Dribbling from different start positions

  • Organisation

    The goalkeeper stands in the goal. The goalkeeper trainer (GC) stands 12-25 meters from the goal with a ball. After each turn the GC starts from a new position (the diagram shows different possible positions for the GC)
  • Process

    the GC dribbles towards the goal and tries to play around the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper tries to use the one on one situation to his advantage. Intensity: 6-8 rounds Equipment: 1 field goal
  • Tip

    The goalkeeper should only pay attention to the ball and not react to the illusiveness of the GC -Remain standing upright for as long as possible, stretch arms out and keep feet shoulder-width apart. - When quickly coming off your line, limit the attacker’s angle. Just before the attack, slow down and move more gently on the balls of your feet. - Don’t spread legs too far apart - The goalkeeper moves as quickly as possible to the centre of the penalty area.
