Dribbling + tackle after initial charge

  • Organisation

The goalkeeper stands in the goal and the goalkeeper trainer (GC) stands in the dribble position with the ball between 12 and 25 meters away from the goal.
  • Process

The goalkeeper lies on his stomach, looking at the ground. The GC dribbles the ball towards the goal and while doing so gives an initial charge to the goalkeeper. As soon as the goalkeeper notices this he stands up as quickly as possible and tries to win the one of one situation. Equipment: 1 field goal
  • Tip

The goalkeeper must pay full attention - When standing up use one hand quickly to push yourself off the ground; the other hand is ready to react. If you choose your right leg, first stand on your right leg then push off the ground with the left. If your upper-body leans to the left, support yourself by placing both arms out in front of you and then stand on your right leg and push yourself off the ground with your left leg. - Don’t point your foot and toes forward, but in the direction of the ball instead he goalkeeper should try to aware of just the ball and not react to the player’s illusiveness. Furthermore it’s important that you don’t run to the player too quickly but instead stay as still as possible and reduce the shot angle for the player in possession of the ball. -Remain standing upright for as long as possible, stretch arms out and keep feet shoulder-width apart. - When quickly coming off your line, limit the attacker’s angle. Just before the attack, slow down and move more gently on the balls of your feet. - Don’t spread legs too far apart. - The goalkeeper must only move as far as the penalty spot.
