Play-opening Type V

  • Organisation

Each time a red and blue player always position themselves as follows: on the flanks (left and right) in line with the edge of the penalty area, 35m from goal on the flanks as well as in line with the penalty area in centre of the pitch and on the semi-circle on the halfway line. The goalkeeper goes in goal.
  • Process

The first ball is played by the goalkeeper. The opponent of the player who receives the ball leaves the field (here A4). Now 6 + goalkeeper play against 5. The 6 players (taking the goalkeeper into account) have the task of holding onto the ball and keeping it in the opposition half. The under-strength team of 5 players adjust and try to stop this and accordingly try to attain possession of the ball and come to a quick shot at goal. Varieties: - 6 + Goalkeepervs6 (Nobody goes out) - 4 + Goalkeeper vs6 - 6 + Goalkeepervs8 Resources: 1 Full-size goal
  • Tip

    - Fast, precise play-opening. - The red team always has the option to restart play through the goalkeeper when a forward pass is not possible. - When in open spaces; fast passing or ground gaining dribbling. - By directing the play down the flanks, the blue team tries to put their opponents under pressure and to gain possession. - Highly running intensive. -Switching Play, build up and pressing are studied alongside the the goalkeeper’s game relevant play-opening.
