Touch - Never-ending-football-tennis

  • Organisation

    Setup a head-tennis court 8 x 16 meters. The net in the middle should have a height of 1.5 meters. A 3-meter-wide corridor made up of cones can also be used instead of the net.
  • Process

    The service should come as a volley or a drop-kick. The player must try to run around to the other side of the net and join onto the back of the waiting team after he has knocked the ball over the net. The ball can bounce once and each player is allowed max. two touches. After returning the ball the player then runs to the other side of the net. If a player hits the ball into the net, hits the ball out or is not able to return the ball with his second touch then he is out. The final is played “best of 5” between the last two remaining players. Each mistake (net/out/extra touch) results in a point for the opponent.
  • Tip

    - The coach can vary the amount of touches allowed by each player. - Tip: If possible the players should try to control the ball with their first touch and then let it bounce before hitting the ball calmly back over the next with their next touch. - The players are, of course, allowed to control the ball with all parts of the body (except with their hand). The ball shouldn’t only be headed back and forth. The focus is on footwork and ball skills.
