Tuck jump + shot on goal

  • Organisation

5 hurdlesof varying heights of 70-100cm (with children lower heights according their jumping ability) are placed behind one another. The hurdles stand 1-1.5m apart. The goalkeeper stands on one side of this construction, the goalkeeper coach (GC) between 12 and 16 Meters away with the balls.
  • Process

The goalkeeper performs a tuck jump (legs bent) over the hurdles. It is important to actively use the arms to support the jump Intensity: 4 repetitions and afterwards a break of approx. 3 minutes. 5 rounds in total. Alternatives: After each jump the goalkeeper has to catch a ball or pass a ball back. Learning aids: 5 hurdles
  • Tip

    - Tuck jump => through a powerful, two legged take off, the knees/thighs are pulled up to the chest. The arms are bent and swing back. The torso is up right. Land on the balls of the feet. The next jump immediately follows after a short ground-time. - Directly after the final tuck jump, the player has to position himself so that his standing leg is laterally offset to the ball, and the leg with which he wants to kick the ball is swung back. -Just before contact with the ball via the GC, the goalkeeper performs a short, forward two-legged preparatory jump, or takes a short step forwards. Spreads his arms, bends his legs slightly and stands on the balls of his feet. The feet point in the direction of the coach and are at hip-distance apart. The torso is bent slightly forwards and the eyes are fixed on the ball. - For every defensive action the body has to be brought behind the ball.
