Warming up in the 4-4-2 linear system with balls

  • Organisation

    The team is positioned on the field in the defensive 4-4-2 basic formation in the defensive pressing zone. Setup of different colored zone cones on the sideline as shown in the diagram: Red cone - defensive pressing zone Blue cone - midfield pressing zone Yellow cone - offensive pressing zone/fore checking On the field ten balls or optionally also cones are distributed (see diagram for positioning).
  • Process

    Implementation of paths in the team unit as in the practice before, however this time balls (or cones) are distributed onto the field, which are allocated a number. Following a call of a number from the coach, the team moves to the corresponding ball. When they have arrived in the final position the players remain where they are and the coach corrects any errors. Then the procedure is continued (call a number - move).
