Construct a stationary cone course to the side of the goal. The goalkeeper stands at the starting cone (the one furthest from the goal), the goalkeeper trainer (GKT) stands in the middle at a distance of 14-22 meters, depending on the age of the group. The goalkeeper trainer has the balls.
Process
The goalkeeper slaloms through the cones. As soon as he has passed the last cone, he makes a 45 degree turn and does a forward role from the goal. He then receives a shot or throw from the goalkeeper trainer.
Combination of movements:
1 - Slalom
2 - Forward roll
3 - Shot/throw by the trainer
Resources: 1 field goal, 5 cones
Tip
5 cones, 1 full-court goal(s), Quick, short movements through cones
- The forward role is done from a stationary crouching position with a mini dive, followed by rolling over the back/bottom. Here the hands and arms act as levers.
- After the forward roll the goalkeeper must reorient himself immediately. The first ground contact with the feet after the roll serves the jump after the ball and is a smooth movement.
- Feet point in the direction of the trainer and are roughly hip-width apart, the upper body is bent slightly forward and eyes remain fixed on the ball.
- The aim is to keep hold of the ball. If the player is unable to do this, the ball should be parried to the side.
