A large box and a small box are formed with 8 cones. One player starts at each cone. The player at the start position has a ball. (1) Position change
The first pass is square (horizontal) (1) follwoed by 2 diagonal, cross-field pases (inwards 2 and outwards 3). The same passing sequence is required contiuously. The players change places vertically, irrespective of whether they are in the inner or outer box.
Alternative:
After a few minutes the players change positions from the inner to the outer box.
- 8 cones.
- This drill is very tiring.
- The standing leg is often too far away from the ball and/or the player leans back.
- Timing of the pass is important.
- Players often run faster than they pass.
- Demand good strength of pass and pass precision.
20 x 20m
The outer cones are 20m apart. The inner cones 10. The distance between the inner box and the next cone is 5m.
