Passing with Goal Attempt Variation V

  • Organisation

Set up the hexagon with cones as shown. One player per cone, the ball at the start cone. (1) Goal attempt
  • Process

The passing drill starts with a cross-field ball from A to C. C lays the ball of to player B who hits a cross-field pas to D. D lays the ball off to E who hits a cross-field pass to C. C had sprinted away from his cone after his pass to B and can now take a shot at goal. The players' runs buld a circle, i.e. each player moves on one cone after his pass/shot. After each player has had a shot at goal the drill is repeated in the other direction. I.e. The first pass is from A to E, who will then take a shot at goal.
  • Tip

6 cones, 1 full-court goal(s), - The receiver should always make a small, dynamic dummy run away from or to the side of the ball before receiving the ball. - Hard, precise passes on the ground. - When laying the ball off, lightly raise the foot. - Time the runs. - Hit the target!

    40 x 50m
