Sweden transition exercise

  • Organisation

    3 teams of 6 or 3 teams of 7 with 2 GKs or 2 small goals.

  • Process

    6v6 or 7v7 (preferably w/GKs) directional exercise to goal. every "game" is to 1. the team that scores restarts with the ball and attacks the opposite goal. the team coming on always defends.

  • Tip

    focus is on the transitional "moments". when a goal is scored. turnover. restart. defending team coming on, attacking team changing direction. any moment where transition is critical.

  • Field size

    dimensions vary depending on numbers and emphasis.
