1v1 | Active Defender

  • Organisation

    • 1 goal (with goalkeeper)

    • 8 cones

  • Process

Player M passes the ball to player A.

The attacking player A runs towards the ball and controls it.

Defender V sprints towards Player A, stays tight on his back and applies pressure.

Now, player A uses feints and speed to beat the defender.

If the defender wins the ball, he can score by dribbling through one of the cone goals.

  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • An explosive little sprint by the striker can separate him from the defender

    • By creating this separation space, the striker can take his touch into his movement and use his speed to beat the defender

  • Field size

The size of the field is dependent on the age and quality of the players.
