• set up a 20x20 meter field (can be bigger if higher number of players available)
• form pairs; each pair needs a ball
Drill 1: Passing, First and Second touch, one-two-combinations, quick turns
Drill 2: The player with the ball tries to shield the ball and maintain possession, while his partner is trying to win the ball.
If he wins the ball, he has to make sure to stay in possession and use his body to protect the ball from the opponent.
• Short but intense sequences: 30-45 sec.
Coaching Points:
• Since the field is quite large, the player in possession can also dribble. On the one hand to create space, on the other hand to escape the consistent pressure of the defender
• For Players in Position:
Possession also means being in control. Therefore, the player with the ball must dictate plays and tempo
