4v4 - Pressing on the Wing

  • Organisation

    • 2 mini-goals

    • 6-8 cones

Set up the field as shown in the graphic

  • Process

The goalkeeper plays the first pass to his right central defender, who passes the ball on to the left central defender.

Team Blue (1) pushes up to the left central defender, to prevent him from playing back to the right central defender.

This way, team Blue (2) can outnumber their opponents in the center of the field (4v3).

If Blue wins the ball, they counter on the big goal.

Team Yellow has to attack the two mini-goals.

  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • Blue team has to press high and as a team to win the ball

    • Since team Yellow have an additional player (goalkeeper), they should look for the open man and switch the point of attacks regularly
