Coordination Drill: Mini-goal Competition

  • Organisation

    • 8 cones

    • 2 agility ladder

Set up as portrayed in the graphic.

  • Process

Player A lines up behind the agility ladder.

He then passes the ball to player B, who dribbles the ball around the cones.

Just before reaching the double cone (see graphic), player B performs a stepover, drags the ball back and passes it to player A.

Meanwhile, player A was performing a coordination drill in the agility ladder.

Player A then uses the inside of the foot to finish on the mini-goal.

    Variation:

    • Drag the ball back after performing stepover

    • only pass and shoot with the weak foot

  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • teach players to use both feet.

It is very easy to work on the weak foot as well as the passing and shooting technique in this drill.
