  • Organisation

    Drills for two players each.

    This drill could be performed efficiently with a partner or could also be integrated into a training session with several stations.

  • Process

    • Station 1: Heading while running backwards. Player (A) und Player (B), heading the ball, stand 2 meters apart from one another. Player B comes towards player A, touches the ball and immediately runs backwards to head the ball back to Player A.
    • Variation: B runs forward, when player A shouts, B quickly turns and heads the ball back to player A.
    • Station 2: Player A raises the ball in the air, player B moves back by 2-3 meters, and heads the ball back while jumping off of one foot.
    • Station 3: 1 thrower and 1 player, who performs another coordination drill, heads the ball that was thrown to him back
    • Station 4: Headers while lying down: Player A lies on the ground. Player B throws the ball in the height of his stomach, so that player A can slighty move up and head the ball back.
  • Tip


    • Heading the ball back so that its bounces once
    • must use two touches to head the ball back
