• 1 goal (with goalkeeper)
• 3 cones
Players should position themselves according to the graphic
To start the drill, player A hits a long ball to player B.
This is the signal for player C to move towards B and position himself just before him.
Player B has to take a good first touch in order to beat C in a 1v1 situation with tempo.
His goal is to go past the defender and finish as soon as he can.
If player C wins the ball, he counters by dribbling towards the halfway line.
Coaching Points:
• Defender has to minimize the distance to the striker as quickly as possible. After that, lateral positioning and keep 2m distance to striker. This allows the defender to block shots or stop dribblings
• Since the attacking player does not have much time or room for a good first touch, he has to accelerate fast so that he can outpace the defender
