Opponent-orientated 4v4 l Conditioning

  • Organisation

    • 2 goals (with goalkeepers)

    • many cones for sidelines (14-16 cones)

  • Process

A game of 4v4 will be played on two goals with goalkeepers.

Since this drill is meant to strengthen the conditional aspects, every player has a set opponent that he will play against (e.g. player A1 vs. A2).

The opponents always have to keep track of each other, not allowing the opponent to score easily.

Every round should be played for 4 minutes with 2 minute-breaks in between rounds.

  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • High intensity, especially towards the end of the rounds

    • Players should try to finish on goal every time they get a chance to do so
