Passing Combination - Passing into the Forefoot

  • Organisation

    • 16 cones (4 squares with 4 cones each)

    • position 2 players in/on every square, position 3 players in/ on the square with the ball

    • 5 balls

  • Process

After the blue player calls for the ball, the red player passes the ball into the zone of the blue player.

The blue player takes his first touch towards the next zone he has to play into. His second touch should be a sharp pass into the forefoot of the yellow player.

    Variation:

To increase the number of touches and the passing tempo/ intensity, 2 balls can be used simultaneously.

In that scenario, the players diagonally opposite of one another would start the drill.

  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • low-driven, sharp passing

    • take a good first touch towards the next zone to set up your pass

consistent and loud communication, demand balls, quick movement to get open
