Short distance 1v1 on the Wing

  • Organisation

    • 2 goals (with goalkeepers)

    • 4 cones

    • One pair in one corner of the marked field each

  • Process

The attacking player starts dribbling at the defender.

Since there is only a short distance between the attacking player and the defender, the attacking player needs to accelerate quickly or perform an effective trick to beat the defender.

For the attacking player, the goal is to shoot on the goal that the defender's back is turnt to.

The defender can counter by dribbling through the cone-goal, if he wins the ball.

Afterwards, the pair moves to the other side of the half and switches roles.

  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • Defenders have to stay on the inside lane and be able to block the direct path to goal (run or shot)

    • Defender: Have a lateral position, stay on toes and keep a 2m distance to opponent
