1 vs 1 after a Shot on Goal

  • Organisation

    • Set up a slalom course and two starting cones as shown in the diagram.
    • Divide the players into two teams.
    • Place two mini-goals.
    • Use cones to mark the playing field.

  • Process

Player A starts with an explosive dribble, takes a shot in front of the penalty area, and then goes around one of the rear cones.

At the same time, Player B starts, dribbles through the poles, and then engages in a 1 vs 1 duel against defending Player A.

Player A defends towards the goal that they circled. If Player A regains possession of the ball, they can also score a goal.

The exercise is completed when 1 goal is scored, the ball goes out of bounds, or after 10-15 seconds.

  • Tip

    • Dribbling should be performed at a high speed and with good quality.
    • The defender can initially wait for the attacker but can also engage directly after a while.

  • Field size

    20x10 yards
