• 1 goal per group (with goalkeeper)
• 4 cones
• all balls
To get open and receive a pass from the additional player, the two attacking players within the square have to move off the ball and escape the pressure of their markers.
Then, one attacking player receives a pass from the additional player outside the square.
After that, the two attacking players have to try and create a chance against the two defenders.
If the defenders win the ball, they have to play into the additional player outside the square in order to receive a point.
Coaching Points:
• Watch out for offside
• Try to beat the defenders with speed and finish quickly
• The additional player has to start dribbling 2-3 touches with the ball before playing a pass into the striker
• This is also a helpful drill for the movements when playing with two strikers up front. As one striker comes closer to the ball, the other player can stay in the deep and create some separation from the defender.
If the player coming closer to receive the ball does so with high tempo, he will also have time and space to turn and dribble towards his defender.
