8 cones to build 2 squares with a 2-meter-long neutral zone in between
2 teams of 4 players + 7 neutral players
Process
Within the squares, the teams play 2 vs 2 against each other. A neutral acts as a "playmaker" in the neutral zone. The remaining neutrals occupy the sides of the squares.
The coach passes to one team inside a square. The team with the ball plays together with the neutrals against 2 ball chasers to keep possession. Teams stay in their squares. Free play within the squares. The neutrals play with a maximum of two touches. If the playmaker (neutral player in the middle) receives the ball, he decides whether to pass back or switch play to the other square.
After 5-6 minutes, switch roles and positions so that every player is neutral at least once.
Tip
The “playmaker” should position themselves openly to keep both fields in view and switch play quickly.
