Ball Control and Passing Drill

  • Organisation

    • Four cones to set up a square as shown in the diagram.
    • Place a player at positions B, C, and D. The remaining players, each with a ball, start at cone A.
  • Process

Player A plays a direct pass to C. Depending on the command from B, C either turns with the ball or lets it bounce back (one-touch) to B. Then, a pass is made to D. On a "bounce" command, D plays a one-two pass with C, and on a "turn" command, D plays a one-two pass with B. After the one-two pass, D passes back to A. All players rotate one position forward. After half the time, the exercise starts from position D.
