Body Feint

  • Organisation

    • 2 starting cones
    • 2 mini goals
    • 4 cones
    • Divide into 2 evenly sized groups
  • Process

    On command, the first players dribble towards the first cone and perform a feint (step-over or scissors), i.e., fake to the left and use the outside of the right foot to move the ball past the cone.

    Then, the players dribble to the second cone and perform another feint. This time, they fake to the right side and dribble past the cone using the outside of the left foot.

    The drill ends with a pass into the mini goal.

    Coaching Points

    • Proper body and weight shift onto the standing leg
    • Initiate the body feint in time and break eye contact with the ball
    • Fast change of direction, clear short acceleration, close ball control
