Build-up Play from Center-back through Midfielders

  • Organisation

    • 5 cones to mark positions
  • Process

    • The center-back (CB) plays a short pass to the number 10 (CAM) after a movement.
    • The number 10 turns with ball control and the command "Turn" from the CB, then plays a through ball to the advancing defensive midfielder (CDM).
    • The CDM lays the ball off to the winger after moving outward.
    • The winger plays a through ball to the second center-back (CB2).
  • Tip

    • Begin the exercise at a relaxed pace until players internalize the sequence, then gradually increase intensity.
    • The objective is to play the passes directly.
