Doubling in Zones

  • Organisation

    • 20 cones
    • 10 wide cone goals
  • Process

    • The 3 attackers start from the center with a ball. Attackers must stay in their zones during the attacking phase. The objective is to get behind the defense line and score a goal.
    • The 3 defenders can cross zone boundaries. The objective is to double effectively and win the ball. After winning the ball, transition quickly to attack and score a goal. Attackers can also cross zone boundaries after losing possession.
    • If the attackers regain possession, the round ends.
  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • Focus on depth when doubling up.
    • Near the ball pushes out, far from the ball covers.
