Gegenpressing in 5v3+2

  • Organisation

    • Divide 10 players into 2 teams
    • 1 goal
    • 2 mini-goals
    • Set up a playing area of 20x25m in front of the goal
  • Process

    • Start with a 5v3 situation where the team with the numerical advantage tries to maintain possession. The playing area is from the penalty spot to the two mini-goals.
    • Two additional players stand on each sideline initially not participating.
    • Once the outnumbered team wins the ball, the sideline players join the game to even the numbers, making it 5v5 across the entire field. Both teams now attempt to score goals.
    • The previous outnumbered team attacks the main goal, and the previous outnumbering team targets the mini-goals. Restart the exercise after a shot on goal or the ball going out of play.
