Numerical Disadvantage vs. Advantage

  • Organisation

    • 4 youth goals (laid flat)
    • 3 teams
  • Process

    • Distribute the 4 goals around the center circle, spaced about 3-5 meters apart.
    • Two teams (8 players) always play against one team (4 players). The duration of the activity is 2 minutes, then the teams rotate.
    • The team with the numerical advantage focuses on keeping possession, while the team with the numerical disadvantage aims to intercept the balls and can score in any of the 4 goals.
  • Tip

    Coaching Points

    • The team with the numerical advantage should focus on keeping possession and making the play "big". The team with the numerical disadvantage should press together against the ball and then quickly finish.
