One-on-One Drill

  • Organisation

    • 3 yellow cones
    • 3 red cones
    • 1 goal
    • 1 ball per round
  • Process

    • Players divide into two groups and line up behind their respective cones.
    • The goalkeeper kicks off or throws the ball to one of the groups.
    • The first player from the group receiving the ball becomes the attacker, while the first player from the other group becomes the defender.
    • Both players dribble through their cones and aim to score a goal.
    • Later, the drill is performed with two players from each group, who attack and defend using appropriate movements and passes.

    Coaching Points:

    • Encourage competitive intensity.
    • Focus on dribbling technique and control.
    • Emphasize defensive positioning and timing of tackles.
    • Promote quick decision-making in attack.
