Open Position with Shot on Goal

  • Organisation

    • 7 cones
    • 1 goal
  • Process

    Variant 1:

    • Rear players pass to the front players
    • Ball control/turning in an open position, shot on goal
    • Passes are played in sequence from left to right (alternatively, occupy the middle double and the outer players pass to middle-left and middle-right), so that the receivers always receive the ball from different positions.
    • Afterwards, the passer takes the position of the receiver, the receiver retrieves the ball, and occupies the cone of the previous passer.

    Variant 2:

    • The outer players now become defenders. Alternatively or additionally, players receive a passive defender in the center.
    • Rotation sequence: receiver, passer, defender, and passive defender in the center.
  • Tip

    Coaching Points

    • Take the ball directly into motion with the first touch
    • Play to the front foot
    • Quickly get to the shot
