Overload Game with Field Switch

  • Organisation

    • Set up 8 cones to create 2 fields with a distance of 15m between them.
    • Provide 1 ball.
    • Optionally, distribute bibs.
  • Process

    • Start with a 4 vs 2 game in one field, focusing on ball possession by the team with numerical superiority.
    • If the team in numerical disadvantage wins the ball, they aim to pass it to their teammates in the other field.
    • Upon successful pass, two players from both the red and blue teams swiftly transition to the other field to begin another overload game, with the red team now having numerical superiority.
  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • Emphasize quick field switches to maintain the tempo of the game.
    • Encourage players to create width and depth in the field after switching.
