Passing Drill - One-Touch Pass

  • Organisation

    • 4 cones, distribute at least 6 players as shown in the diagram

  • Process

    • Player B makes an initiating movement and is then played in by player A, B immediately one-touch passes back to A
    • Then A plays a long ball to C
    • Afterwards, A and B switch positions
    • C plays two passes with D before C plays a ball to the second player at A's position.
    • After that, C and D switch positions
  • Tip

    Coaching Points

    • Move the cones for players C and D to the other side after several rounds
    • Passes to players C and D should be into the "far" foot to simulate passing away from an opponent
    • Execute every pass with a verbal command
    • After several rounds, have players use the inside of the foot for longer-distance passes
  • Cone margins

    • Cones A and C: approx. 20-25 m
    • Cones A and B (C-D): approx. 8-10 m
