Passing Drill (Square)

  • Organisation

    • Four cones per square
    • 5 players per square (double up starting positions)
  • Process

    Player 1 passes the ball with their right foot to Player 2. Player 2 opens up and passes the ball with their right foot towards Player 3. Player 3 opens up, redirects the ball slightly towards Player 4, and passes to Player 4, and so on. Always follow your own pass.

  • Tip

    Coaching Points

    • Play the ball to teammates on the front foot
    • Control the ball with the outer foot and continue play
    • Play passes with sufficient pace
    • Passes are always played outside the cones
