Defending players must pay attention to multiple ball carriers and coordinate the defense accordingly.

    Coaching PointsFor playing with one ball:

    • Defend in a 4-2 formation.
    • Act compactly and cohesively, shifting towards the ball.
    • Ball in the center: The ball-near defensive midfielder steps up, the ball-far defensive midfielder covers in depth.
    • Center-backs: cover overlapping.
    • Pass to the wing: The full-back steps up, the rest of the line shifts towards the ball (but do not move too far from the center).
