Exercise 1: Player A starts the exercise with a pass to player B. B lets the ball bounce and moves sideways towards a pole. Player C reacts by moving to the pole on the other side. A then makes a driven pass to C. Player C controls the ball and goes around the pole to shoot. B then takes C's position, and A takes B's position.
Exercise 2: Player A passes to player B. B lets the ball bounce and moves around one pole and then past the second pole. A plays a driven pass to C, who plays a side pass to B in stride. B takes a touch or shoots directly. A takes C's position, and C takes B's position.
Exercise 3: Player A passes to player B. B lets the ball bounce and moves sideways around a pole. Player C reacts by moving to the pole on the other side. A then makes a driven pass to C. C lets the ball bounce to B and goes around the pole. B then plays a through ball to C, who takes a touch or shoots directly. B takes C's position, and A takes B's position.
Tip
Coaching Points:
Drill 1: Sharp pass into space; B: Set off to a pole in a semi-open stance (looking towards the opposite pole); C: Take the ball with the non-dominant foot directly and shoot quickly.
Drill 2 + 3: B: Set off laterally after the bounce pass. Once the through pass is played, accelerate with speed.
