Skillshirts are jerseys/vests containing 2 colors, allowing a player to belong to both the yellow and red teams, for example.
Process
The main focus of the "Skillshirtz" exercise is on the players' speed of action, visual, and auditory skills.
The coach initiates the game by passing to any player and specifying a color (e.g., blue). After the pass, all players whose skillshirt color is blue play against the team without blue.
After the initial color determination by the coach, both teams determine the new teams. The new team depends on the skillshirt color of the player who scores the next goal. For example, if the scorer uses their right foot and their skillshirt color's right side is red, the new team will also be red.
The red team then initiates the attack from the side where the goal was scored. This process can be repeated as many times as desired.
This exercise ensures that players quickly react and reorient themselves after a goal.
Tip
Start with warm-up drills involving short combinations between players.
