Speed Acceleration: Sprinting Competition

  • Organisation

    • Set up 16 cones to form 4 rows.
    • Distribute players evenly behind each starting cone.
  • Process

    At the coach's command, players sprint through the course as quickly as possible in a slalom fashion. Additional variations for the course are visible in cone rows 2-4 in the illustration.

  • Tip

    • Ensure players navigate the course in the shortest route possible (avoid running in arcs).
    • Emphasize maintaining quality even as speed is introduced into the drill.
