  • Organisation

    • Set up 5 square cones.
    • Have at least 1 player in each square.

  • Process

    Player A dribbles at pace (1) towards Player B. Player A plays a lofted pass (2) to Player B from about 15 meters away. Player B controls the ball and dribbles out of the square (3). Player A enters the square. Player B dribbles at pace (4) to the next square of their choice. Player B plays a lofted pass (5) from about 15 meters away.

  • Tip

    Coaching Points

    • In younger age groups, the lofted pass can be replaced by a regular pass (also adjust the field size according to age).
    • Quickly flatten the ball and transition into a dribble.
    • Play the lofted pass while in motion.
    • Encourage communication.
    • Establish eye contact before making the pass.
