Transition Game: 3v1 to 3v2

  • Organisation

    • 4 cones

    • Form a square just before the halfway line with the cones

  • Process

The attacking players should play four passes in the square (3v1 situation).

The player that receives the fourth pass dribbles outside of the field and passes to one of his two teammates.

Now, the attacking players will try to create a goal-scoring opportunity in a 3v2 attacking sequence.

If the attacking players lose the ball, they immediately counterpress and try to win the ball back.

But if the defenders manage to play four passes, the drill is finished.

  • Tip

    Coaching Points:

    • Use additional player for quick plays (passes, combination play, dribbling) and try to create a chance within 10 seconds to make it game-realistic
