Turn and Clap Drill

  • Organisation

    • 3 cones to mark positions

  • Process

Player A passes to player B, who turns and passes to player C. Player C claps back and moves diagonally to the side. After receiving the pass back from player B, player C plays a (direct) pass to player A. Players rotate positions after each pass.

When the pass is played, a clear command ("Turn" or "Clap") must be given.

The sequence for the "Clap" command is as follows: A passes to B and moves diagonally to the side. B claps back to A and turns to C. A plays a (direct) pass to C, who claps to B and also moves diagonally to the side. B passes back to C, who then plays a (direct) pass back to A.

  • Tip

    • B should stand to the side of the cone.
    • Commands should be loud and clear.
    • Perform repetitions with both feet.
    • Mix repetitions with both commands.
  • Cone margins

    10-12 meters
