Warm-up: Ball and Coordination

  • Organisation

    • 1 coordination ladder
    • 2 cones
    • 2 markers
    • 3 hurdles
  • Process

    • Players are divided into 2 equal-sized groups, each behind the markers.
    • The first player passes the ball to the other side through the cones and performs a coordination exercise to their right side using the hurdles or coordination ladder.
    • Then, they line up behind the other group. The exercise is conducted as an endless passing drill.
  • Tip

    Coaching Points

    • For coordination exercises:
      • Work on the balls of the feet
      • Build body tension and carry hands
      • Regularly vary step sequence/jumping sequence
    • For passing:
      • 2 touches, direct, feint before the 1st touch, take the ball to one side
