A field is marked out with cones. A goal is set up on each end of the field, with a goalkeeper in each. 6 field players position themselves on the field as shown in the diagram. A cone is placed on each sideline to mark the halfway line.
Procedure
Player J has his back to the goal while in possession and plays a one-two with player I, tries to control the ball, turn, and get a shot on goal. Defender A pressures J and tries to win possession after the pass from I. If A wins the ball, he can attack the opposite goal. Alternative: After the one-two, player I is allowed to join the attack, creating a 2v1 situation.
Tip
- Players should move on the balls of their feet. - The attacker tries to use his starting and directional advantage. - The defender tries to close down the attacker as early as possible so that the attacker cannot build up speed, and if possible positions his body between himself and the attacker with the shoulder forward. - The attacking player can shoot directly on goal or try to take the ball with one touch at sprint speed. - The defender tries to catch up to the attacker, close down the passing lane, push him to the side, or win possession himself. - 6 cones, 2 full-size goal(s)
